It’s a first for me, I got dumped by a dog I loved. His name is Sage and I have known him since he was a pup. Twice a week when I came to the station he greeted me with love and enthusiasm that tugged at my heart. And then something changed. I was gone for three weeks and during that time someone else I work with pet sit Sage for a week. She took him for long hikes and to the beach to swim in the ocean every day and now he only has eyes for her. I am not exaggerating, you can see the love in his eyes. Sage now only wants to hang with his new love, he barely acknowledges my presence, no more big excited hellos when I get to the station, all gone. My heart hurt that our bond is broken but I also love how he has found someone who makes him so happy. No, really I am.

I grew up in San Francisco in the 60's. I lived in a world of sex, drugs and rock and roll. After a long stretch working on my tan I have joyfully found my way back to radio. Because you can't fight it; when it's in your blood. I play music on KPTZ.org. View all posts by Buzzy Donahue
